FLY Open Air is an open air dance music festival, this year held in Edinburgh under the impressive silhouette of Edinburgh Castle. Back after 2 years away due to COVID, the FLY team knew how anticipated this event was by music fans, and that it needed to go without a hitch.
Objectives
The FLY team wanted rock solid internet connectivity to ensure the uninterrupted running of the tills at all 11 bars at the site . They also wanted internet connectivity for operational purposes throughout the event

The Project

Corona IT Solutions went with a bonded WAN solution for this project, bonding mobile data and an on-site ADSL connection in order to provide continuous, quality connectivity. Internet was distributed around the site using wireless access points connected through a combination of hardwired connections and wireless point to point links. Corona IT Solutions also provided individual 4G routers for outlying areas to ensure connectivity across the whole site.
